Building Stronger People. Building Stronger Communities.

More Than A Boxing Gym

Trenchtown was built on a simple belief:

Boxing changes lives.

Not just inside the ring, but outside of it.

Every jab teaches discipline. Every round builds resilience. Every session develops confidence, respect and self-belief.

For us, boxing has never just been about producing champions. It’s about creating an environment where people from every background can belong, improve themselves and leave stronger than they arrived.

Whether someone walks through our doors to compete, get fit, improve their mental wellbeing or simply find a place where they feel accepted, they become part of the Trenchtown community.

Because life is challenging.

Everyone deserves somewhere that helps them fight back.

Our Vision

We believe boxing belongs to everyone.

Our vision is to build a community where people feel welcomed, supported and inspired regardless of their experience, ability or background.

We want Trenchtown to be recognised not only as a boxing gym, but as a place where lives are positively influenced every single day.

A place where confidence replaces doubt.

Where discipline replaces distraction.

Where community replaces isolation.

Where hope is built one round at a time.

Our Mission

Our mission is to use boxing as a vehicle for positive change.

We exist to create opportunities for people of every age, culture and background to improve their physical health, strengthen their mental wellbeing and become part of a community that genuinely cares.

Every class, every programme and every partnership is built around one goal:

Helping people become stronger, in body, mind and character.

Community First

The work we do extends far beyond the boxing ring.

We are proud to work alongside schools, amateur boxing clubs and community organisations that share our belief in the power of sport to change lives.

These partnerships allow us to support young people, adults and families through programmes that promote confidence, resilience, wellbeing and positive life choices.

Supporting Amateur Boxing

Trenchtown is also home to Highgate Amateur Boxing Club.

Grassroots boxing gives young people purpose, structure and belonging.

For many, it provides positive role models, lifelong friendships and opportunities they may never have discovered elsewhere.

The discipline learned inside a boxing gym often carries into education, employment and everyday life.

We’re proud to provide a home where the next generation can grow, not only as athletes, but as people.

Supporting People Living With Parkinson’s

Our facility is also proud to host Hawley's specialist Parkinson’s boxing sessions delivered by dedicated coaches and organisations.

These sessions use non-contact boxing-based training to help improve mobility, coordination, balance and confidence while creating an encouraging community for those living with Parkinson’s.

It’s another example of how boxing can improve lives far beyond competition.

Community Through Opportunity

We believe financial circumstances should never be the reason someone misses out on the positive impact boxing can have.

Support received through donations and community partnerships helps provide opportunities such as:

  • Boxing equipment for young people who need it.

  • Membership support for those facing financial barriers.

  • Travel assistance for amateur competitions and development opportunities.

  • Community programmes that continue to make boxing accessible.

Every contribution helps someone step through our doors with confidence.

Supporting Young People

Young people face more pressure today than ever before.

Through our work with schools, we use boxing to help students develop focus, resilience, confidence and emotional wellbeing.

We proudly deliver programmes with schools including Harmood School, supporting young people who benefit from a more personalised educational environment, and Channing School, where boxing provides students with a healthy outlet to manage the pressures of academic life while improving fitness and mental wellbeing.

Every session is about far more than fitness.

It’s about building character.

Fighting For Better Mental Health

Mental health matters.

At Trenchtown, we believe movement, community and purpose play an important role in supporting emotional wellbeing.

Our gym is built to be a safe, positive environment where people can train, connect with others and find an outlet for the pressures of everyday life.

We openly champion conversations around mental health because strength isn’t measured by pretending everything is okay.

Sometimes strength is simply showing up.

Partner With Us

We’re always looking to build meaningful partnerships with organisations, schools, businesses and individuals who believe in the power of community.

Whether you’re interested in sponsoring programmes, supporting young people, funding equipment or collaborating on community initiatives, we’d love to hear from you.

Together, we can continue building a gym that represents far more than boxing.

Because when a community grows stronger, everyone benefits.

“We don’t just build better boxers. We build better people.”
